Long and winding roads

Ariel is using “L” plates this week!

After re-learning every physical function below the neck since 2012 – he is now facing the complicated task of relearning how to drive after a 7 year hiatus. A specialised instructor has travelled up from Melbourne to do the training this week.

We are SO grateful to the MANY people who contributed to buying a car for modification last year. We like it that the car model “Santa Fe” means “holy faith”.

The adapted car arrives by truck last Sunday
In the drivers seat after a lesson yesterday
“L” plates!

We have all been learning new things. Still learning how to live here, learning about God’s provision and grace. Even the chooks have learned something new – how to lay eggs!

Blaze-Crackle, Hazel, Glitter and Ruby now give us 4 eggs a day.

Home grown eggs!

I continue to learn to accept the mundane parts of caring, home and life. But the potentially boring “waiting” for school kids and medical appointments can be made beautiful by people, words, prayer, books and then visiting a place like this.

I lift my eyes up to the mountains

Where does my help come from?

My help comes from the Lord,

The maker of heaven and earth.

He will not let your foot slip-

he who watches over will not slumber;

Indeed, he who watches over Israel

will neither slumber nor sleep.

Psalm 121;1-4

For those who pray:

For good progress and safety for Ariel and his driving instructor, Tom

Thank God for the many people who financially supported the purchase of the adapted car

Thank God for never sleeping and His care of little us.
