Mamma Mia

Ariel’s mother has recently been in Concord hospital (in Sydney).

We were amazed that her hospital stay coincided with a Sydney car appointment for Ariel. This meant a carer could meet him at the domestic airport and take him to visit her in Concord before attending his other appointment.

This has sped up our desire to move Sophie closer, to the local nursing home in Bega.

Her transfer will be subject to bed availabilities.

We are also grateful for Kirsty’s mum, who dropped what she was doing Monday night to come out and mind our kids while I took Ariel to the Bega Hospital for blood pressure issues.

Meanwhile, the children are enjoying being “mum” to their new chooks which has been a delight for all.

“Honour your mother and father, as the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live long and that it may go well with you in the land the Lord your God is giving you”         Deuteronomy 5:16

(We enjoyed it when our older daughters studied this at Friday night youth group recently ;).

For those who pray:

Thank God for His kindness in timing Ariel’s visit to his mother in Sydney and for Kirsty’s mum’s kindness

Thank God for local health services that have been caring for Sophie and Ariel

Please pray for Sophie’s health and transfer, as she now has mild heart failure as well as dementia – and for us to be wise about “honouring” her in these circumstances

Thank God for the calming power of chooks as we settle

Kirsty
