We’ve been thinking about how the Lord provides this week.
It reminds us of the 1970s church song “Jehovah Jireh – my provider”.
Jehovah Jireh (Gen 22) can also be translated as “The Lord who sees” or “The Lord will see to it”.
Wow.
A Creator who sees and provides accordingly.
Here is how we have seen God provide for us this month,
The unexpected and much desired nephew born a year ago when my sister was 43,
An unexpected bag of picnic food delivered to us at church one Sunday,
A marriage with unexpected surprises celebrated in anniversary this month,
Ariel’s awakening one morning this month saying ,”I can feel under my feet today!”
(pictured here with his Mum)
Ariel’s parents, Peter and Sophie managing at home with the provision of home care services.
For Prayer:
- For wisdom in the decision making that is part of church, family and life
- Thanks for Ariel’s small physical improvements
- For our marriage and the marriages around us to continue to be strengthened by the God who sees and provides
- Thanks that God is a provider
“Jehovah Jireh,
My provider,
His grace is sufficient for me, for me, for me
Jehovah Jireh
My provider
His grace is sufficient for me
My God shall provide all my needs
According to his riches in glory
He gives his angels charge over me
Jehovah Jireh cares
For me, for me, for me
Jehovah Jireh
cares for me”
