Go set a Watchman

Ariel had visitors in Croydon last week – his brother in law and nephew stayed to be his “watch-men” for 3 days.

This meant that with the help of 2 relatives, 5 carers and a nursing agency, Kirsty and the children could travel to visit her parents in Bega for 3 days. The trip included travelling with her sister and kids and a visit to her friends Bega bookshop (where Harper Lee’s newly released novel “Go set a watchman” was on sale). Its been 2 years since we have had a night away from home.

We had a visit to Ariel’s parents in respite when we got back. They too are well “watched” by nurses and aides who remind them of mealtimes and give them their medications.

For prayer:

Thank God for a small break from routine last week, for no complications with care and travel and for kind relatives who made it happen.

Thank God for the book of Joshua – which Ari is preaching on currently.

Pray for Ariel as he continues to work hard on his Physio programme.

Thank God that this year’s medication has improved how “smooth” his walking is.

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged,

for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go” Joshua 1:9

A reminder of our great God – the ultimate “Watchman”,

Kirsty
