The Weary World Rejoices

This month we are trying to look up to the God who was there before this weary world began. How wonderful to celebrate the way He came as Jesus to save us in our messy human place.

We are looking forward to Christmas with Grace Church and family visitors (if they are free to travel) and are grateful that Ari’s mum and Kirsty’s parents are local and easy to visit…

Ariel with his mum, Sophie
Kirsty with her mum, Pam

We are grateful that the Christmas Jesus grew up to be the Easter Jesus who said…

Come to me all you who are WEARY and burdened, and i will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. (Matt 11:28-30)

Ariel will be one of a few preachers helping to cover our minister’s leave so his head has been buried in the Psalms which is another great place for our minds at Christmas…

Praise be to the LORD, for he has heard my cry for mercy. The LORD is my strength and shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him. Psalm 28: 6-7 (a psalm of David)

For those who pray:

Thank God for getting us through this unusual and sometimes wearying year

Thank God for school holidays and pray for wisdom in raising our 4 kids

Pray for Ariel and I to be wise, joyful and peace living in our part time workplaces
