It’s been a year since Ariel had a night away from home, so we were thrilled to be able to holiday as a family at the Spinal Cord injury resort on Sydney’s Northern Beaches again. The break from routine was refreshing and though there is never a break from the routine of Quadriplegia, we are thankful that it could occur in such a beautiful place hearing waves crashing on the beach at night.
Ariel took greater advantage of the beach 4WD wheelchair this year and we enjoyed many walks.
I enjoyed early morning walks to the headland on my own – ah the serenity.
On the headland..
On the beach..
At the apartment..
Lunch by the sea..
For prayer:
Thank God for creating the sea
Thank God for the Sargood Foundation who built and run this resort
Thank God for a change of scenery and time for the whole family to holiday together
Pray for current health issues for Ariel
Pray for wise and efficient preparation for a sermon series on 1 Corinthians.
“If I rise on the wings the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,
even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.
If I say ‘Surely the darkness will hide me
and the light become night around me’
even the darkness will not be dark to you;
the night will shine like the day,
for darkness is as light to you”
Psalm 139:9-12
We appreciate your thoughts and prayers.
