Ariel’s father’s funeral was held on Monday 22nd August.
We were able to thank God for Peter’s life and remember his legacy of speaking and living Jesus.
Thank you to all our family and friends for the prayers and support over these challenging times.
Please pray for good grief for us all – particularly Ariel and Sophie, Ariel’s mum who feels “lost”.
Please also pray for the quick healing of Ariel’s forehead. He currently looks like a “street fighter” after a nasty fall directly onto cement on Sunday, requiring 6 stitches over the eyebrow.
Perhaps pray for a less dramatic stretch in our lives!
“When peace like a river attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll.
Whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say
It is well, It is well with my soul
Though Satan should buffet,
Though trials should come.
Let this blessed assurance control,
That Christ has regarded my helpless estate
and has shed his own blood for my soul
It is well, it is well with my soul”
“It is well with my soul” Horatio G Spafford 1873
Its worth repeating the lyrics from Peter’s last hymn, which we sang at his memorial service.
