Great Expectations

It has been a great joy this week to see Ariel slowly and carefully use a mug to drink coffee – without a straw!

(When 3 of the staff team at WSCCC met at our house last week , he had his first “straw less” cup of tea).

Tasks like shaving, personal care and cutting steak are still too hard, but we can hope!

Ariel asks for prayer for endurance while working on bible studies, devotions and sermons.

The main side effect of his medications is a slight drowsiness or “fogginess” which becomes an issue when concentrating.

Painful muscle spasms are still a pain.

There are good and bad days in the walking department too – but it was great that it was a good walking day at church on Sunday.

Romans 8:19, 22-24

“The creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed…..

We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.

Not only so, but we ourselves , who have the first fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption,

the redemption of our bodies. For in this hope we were saved. ”
