Planes, trains and automobiles

Ariel has 3 modes of transport – not trains, planes and automobiles…..but….

Crutches

Walking with crutches

This is Ariel, his elbow crutches and his Physio walking around our block at home.

It took 36 minutes to walk 400m. Amazing but wobbly and slow.

so…..

Frames

frame

Ariel uses this frame without needing any help in our house.

He can manage walking inside and carefully outside in the paved courtyard and on the path.

This works well on quite flat surfaces so….

& Electric wheelchair

Wheelchair

The electric wheelchair is still an important part of life.

If Ariel wants to go anywhere outside the house independently – this is the safest and easiest option.

He can get to our local GP on his own in this chair.

He can also get to appointments on his own by using this chair and the wheelchair taxi.

This proves our Physiotherapist’s theory that “Incompletes (incomplete spinal cord injury) ALWAYS have the most equipment!”

Please pray:

For Ariel who has another infection – please pray for a fast response to the antibiotics he started today.

For buckets of love in our house.

For well chosen words despite fatigue.

For the people of Syria who are enduring far more than us.

Matthew 11:28

“Come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light”
