Ariel was just a tad excited this afternoon… He had managed to stand up by himself and remain on his feet for over a minute. We really thank God that he has reached this milestone after 3 months!!
He is praying that more muscle groups and nerves would come back in his legs so he could reach his next goal – walking. His hands and arms could also use improvement.
For some reason he was taken with this verse from Hebrews 12:12-13…!
Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees. “Make level paths for your feet,” so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed.
Ariel was also telling me about church at the Rehab Centre. Each week he is able to join a service run by an Anglican ‘lay reader’. At the end he and the service leader are able to pray for the other patients. Please pray for this ministry and ask that more patients would go along and find faith in Christ.
Grace and peace, Mark

“Give thanks in all circumstances for this is God’s will for you in Jesus Christ” (1 Thessalonians 5:18). We give thanks that Ariel is now able to stand up without help! We give thanks he is able to have breaks from the hospital and get out in a wheelchair. We give thanks that the family are together this weekend for the first time at a special unit owned by the Rehab Centre. We give thanks that God is working out His purposes in all of us through this trial. May God’s Name be exalted.
