A Tree Planted by a Stream

‘Ariel was encouraged by Psalm 1 this week which describes God’s person as being a tree planted by a stream.
Here is us at a tree planted by a Rehabilitation unit!

Hooray things:
Ariel stood up on Friday with his Physiotherapist (about 70% his effort).
He gently touched his index finger to his thumb for the first time.
Finger movements remain small and weak but the left index has slightly moved for the first time.
(it was the last one to move so now all of the fingers have a little movement).
Overwhelming kindness, financial support and warm visitors bring us to tears – a lot!

Pray things:
Please continue to pray for restful sleep for the whole family
For continued healing of Ariel’s spinal cord and the bedsores on his heels
For the children to speak their feelings and thoughts well and to cope with term 4.
Pray for us as we prepare for the summer holidays – there will be time together and apart.

Our hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.

Kirsty’

PS. from Mark

Ariel is off at the movies this afternoon getting some inspiration from James Bond! The trip out and transport is organised by the Rehab Centre.  He has been trained in outdoor wheelchair skills, and last week he even had a coffee down the street with Kirsty (and the Occupational Therapist…). Good to see him getting out and about.
