Today marks the ten year anniversary of Ariel’s changed life.
It also marks the ten year anniversary of our family’s changed life.
It is such an unusual anniversary- one that certainly reminds us of pain – but also of kindnesses, sacrifice, support and care. Some days, challenges feel big. Other days mercies feel big.
But what remains is that God is big – and actually bigger than all of our good days and bad days.
Corrie Ten Boom said- “Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God” – a quote as relevant today as it was 10 years ago.
Today we will choose to celebrate “life” again and thank God for the life He gives both now and eternally.
We enter this week with another sadness to bear- with the passing of Ariel’s mother, Sophie last Monday night, 29/8/22. She died as she had lived – full of spark and loyal to her Saviour. Ariel and I were with her for her last 3 hours and she left this world talking about Jesus and longing to join him. We were sad, and yet encouraged by her tenacity of faith to the end. God is bigger.
The children continue to grow in many ways. They are our daily link to reality – with their highs, lows, hunger, joys and challenges. They approach this anniversary with the eyes of older teens and see a little more of the storm we weathered in 2012 and 2013. God is bigger.
We thank you for your continued interest, prayers and support. It means so much to us to have loving fellow travellers in this life.

Thank God for being bigger than all the highs and lows of life
