I just stared at some “instruments” in our home – and remembered the day that Ariel could use a fork and spoon for the first time after his accident.
Until that time, a rostered group of wonderful church friends would come into the hospital and rehab unit to “feed” Ariel his dinner. What a gift.
…and here are some social “instruments” – cakes for birthdays and coffee/hot chocolate for family time out. Notice the van on the street (ours) and the accidental yet perfect sign in the background saying “Thank”!
Some days its hard to be thankful.
But everything in that photo is worthy of thanks.
For Prayer:
- Endurance in work, rehab and family time for Ariel, who needs to pace his lifestyle with wisdom
- That we would be instruments of God’s peace no matter what our limitations are
- Thank God for our family and the support we’ve received in feeding meals, encouragement, prayer and finances.
“The Sovereign Lord is my strength;
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
he enables me to tread the heights.
For the director of music. On my stringed instruments”
