Bite Club

After Christmas we experienced a new way of doing holidays.

Its hard to spend holidays apart as a family, but we appreciate they are a privilege.

(Ariel still requires too much equipment and nursing care to travel away – its not impossible, just too complicated).

So,

Ariel remained in Sydney with overnight and day shifts of nursing care and started his…

“Bite Club” – a term I use to describe the many meetings with people and parishioners to share meals in the time that the kids and I were away.

It was a great way to catch up with people, pastor and get a new year start on his yum cha quota.

While the kids and I were at “Sight Club”….

Seeing family, seeing lots of the swimming pool for swim lessons and seeing the new year in at Bega with a load of cousins and family.

For Prayer:

  • Thank God for some catch up time with extended family
  • Thank God for Ariel’s safety & good nursing care while we were away (and the food!!)
  • Continued prayer for the decrease of muscle spasticity – it interferes with Ariel’s daily movement.
  • For the family to cope with continued change – including Luka’s kindergarten start at school in February.

“In my wrestling, in my doubt,

In my failures you won’t walk out

Your great love will lead me through

You are the peace in my troubled sea

You are the peace in my troubled sea….

I won’t fear what tomorrow brings

with each morning I’ll rise and sing

My God’s love will lead me through

You are the peace in my troubled sea

You are the peace in my troubled sea….”

We listened to this great Irish band last year and in the van on our travels this month.
