Roman and Roamin’

It has been great to have a series of sermons at church that cover several chapters of Romans at a time.

Its such a meaty book and has proven good food for us all.

Here is Ariel at work on chapters 4-8.

(The lecturn at church is a helpful prop to hold him upright).

I’ve been “roaming” to Granville to empty Ariel’s parents’ house of the last items of furniture before settlement.

It was a time of closure for us all to see the house formally handed over to the new owners on Friday.

….And sad to say goodbye to Ariel’s father’s home-made metal work.

….Yet God has provided this as a way to pay Ariel’s mothers aged care which brings security for all of us.

Romans 5:1-5

We have been made right with God because of our faith.

So we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Through our faith, Christ has brought us into that blessing of God’s grace that we now enjoy.

And we are happy because of the hope we have of sharing God’s glory.

And we also have joy with our troubles because we know that these troubles produce patience.

And patience produces character, and character produces hope.

And hope will never disappoint us, because God has poured out his love to fill our hearts. (ICV)
