A good milestone

Dear all,

A new milestone today… Ariel is bored and wanting more visitors. Happily, he is moving on a little from the initial trauma and speed bumps, and is getting into the quieter recovery phase. If all continues to go well he expects to spend another couple of months at RNS waiting for the inflammation in his neck to subside. The next move would likely be a rehabilitation hospital at Ryde. God willing, during this time he would be relearning to move his body and finding out what he is capable of.

So, he is open to a wider group of visitors. He wants us to keep him awake during the day so he can sleep better at night! For those from WSCCC, please see Lydia Tan to arrange a suitable day. For those outside of WSCCC, you’ll need to gauge how he is feeling if you drop in. Be prepared to keep the visit short if need be. Visitors also need to bring a book as often the staff will ask you to leave for a time while they attend to Ariel. He is in Royal North Shore Hospital St Leonards, ward 7D (spinal ward), bed 14. Visiting hours are 11am – 9pm.

We thank God for this encouraging marker along the way.

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. (Col 3:15 NIV)

Grace and peace, Mark
